RODE PINMIC Discreet Pin-through Lapel Microphone

The RØDE's PINMIC is a discreet lavalier/lapel microphone with a revolutionary pin-through design that not only makes it easier to conceal than a typical lapel microphone, but also gives you more mounting options. This condenser microphone is made up of a cabled backplate and a removable omni-directional capsule head that can be readily attached to any clothing or fabric by simply putting the backplate pins through the fabric's back and sliding the capsule into place on the front. The backplate and cord of the microphone are concealed below the fabric, and the capsule head can be readily disguised, covered, or embellished to further conceal the microphone.

The microphone may be simply mounted through any fabric with a thickness of up to 1.5mm (0.006") thick without causing any garment damage. For installation on thicker fabrics (up to 3.5mm/0.14), a longer pin version (PinMic-Long) is offered "thickening. A 1.2m (4') insulated, detachable Kevlar® strengthened cable connects the microphone capsule and has been carefully strain tested to assure reliable performance. The integrated mini-furry for high wind protection assures quality recordings in inclement weather, while the anti-trauma water resistant case protects the microphone, a spare capsule head, the microphone wire, and supplied accessories in a durable and secure manner.
